Correspondence between the Hartford, Connecticut, firm of Case, Lockwood & Brainard and G. C. Merriam Co. of Springfield, Massachusetts. Includes bills for printing several editions of Webster's dictionary (first as Case, Tiffany & Co.) The name of the Hartford firm was changed from Case, Tiffany to Case, Lockwood in 1858 and would later become Case, Lockwood & Brainard.
